Welcome!

I've recently updated and added new content, mostly in the woodworking and wood turning project pages.   There's also a new section with lots of photos and details on our trip to South America.

As a final gift for a dear friend, I turned a cremation urn to hold his ashes. View photos and read more about it here.

I recently completed a make-over of our home gym, which is in our 4th bedroom.  This was part of a larger project:  replacing all the carpeting on the second floor with hardwood laminate flooring.  Read more...

Check out our garden!  This brief photo essay was taken in late June, about half-way into the 2007 growing season.

For my Father-in-Law's 70th birthday, I decided to build him a custom checkerboard.  It was a fairly simple project that took me approximately 18 hours over 7 days to complete.  I was quite pleased with the results, and he seemed to like it, too.

Evelyn and I spent 5 days in September 2006 rehabbing my Mother's kitchen. You'll find more details and a few 'before' and 'after' photos here.

I recently turned a small box on the lathe.  Here are a few photos of the process and the finished box.

I also have some photos of a small vase that I turned here.

Spent some quality time with my chainsaw recently roughing out turning blanks from a few large sections of a cherry tree trunk.  If anyone is curious how this is done (or what a turning blank is), there is more info and a few photos here.
